Summer Update

Because I'm feeling guilty for not blogging the past 2 weeks for KinderGARDENS,
I'm throwing up a bunch of pics with a sprinkling of narration.
Enjoy!
The Vegetable garden "green manure crop" has been tilled in.
Thanks IronMan!
Still waiting for the tomatoes to ripen...

Labor Day visit to the beach,
a cool, newly acquired property for the park system.
(a bummer for the neighborhood I'm sure as it used to be off limits to the public)

Big Bear excavating sand castles with friends!

Our friends brought their canoe!

We were awesome!

IronMan and I took a chance to "get away".

Princess enjoyed giggling!

And playing frisbee.

Lit'l Sis is pure sunshine!
She found a log to make a boat out of!

IronMan keeps the peace.
So we did enjoy the last weekend of "summer" weather here in the Northwest.  I think we hit 80 degrees TWICE (she said, doing her best to mute the acrimony in that little factoid).  Since then we had some sunny days but guess what---School had started!  So we made the most of it and have been doing school outside on the porch as much as possible.

This was the first day of school.  It started too early for Little Sister.  She came to breakfast disheveled and Bear helped to cheer her up!

Pancakes also helped.  I didn't tell them until AFTER they ate them that I put ZUCCHINI in the pancakes!!  Muaha-ha-ha-ha!
Watch this family favorite to understand the hilarity I enjoyed making these pancakes!
