Sammamish River Slough

Our 2nd Annual Canoeing Adventure to the
Sammamish River Slough was a great success!
17 explorers and 7 canoes.

Waiting to board.

Five miles and Five hours round trip, and only one canoe capsized --
can you guess whose canoe it was?

It was an exhilarating joint effort!
C'mon in! The water's fine!

Maybe a little "ducky", but warm enough!
For some reason no one wanted to join us.

We made it to Bothell Park and grilled hotdogs, accompanied with potato and pasta salads, fruit, and of course chips and soda.  Oh - and plenty of left over wedding cake which was generously offered at every turn!

Pyramid of cuteness!
Pyramid of Awesomeness!
Unfortunately we don't have photos
of the "Canoe Wars", the splashing and overtaking, the racing and paddling
with all our might, the laughing, screaming and near capsizing
or the fact that the Farr canoes were victorious!
(It must have been the "Duck Dynasty" influence!)

A great end to summer vacation.
